Cary Davidson has specialized in political, election and nonprofit organization law since 1980. A former congressional
aide, public affairs officer and political consultant, he has extensive experience in political campaigns and has
served as treasurer and/or legal counsel for hundreds of campaign committees. He represents corporations,
trade associations, labor unions, lobbyists, candidates and ballot measure committees.
Currently, Cary serves as president of the Board of Directors of Equality California Institute, after having served
as a board member and president of the Board of Directors of Equality California. He is a
member of the Board of Trustees of the Union for Reform Judaism and a member of the Board of Overseers for the
Los Angeles Campus of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.
Mr. Davidson is a past president of the California Political Attorneys Association, past president of Congregation
Kol Ami, past president of the Claremont McKenna College Alumni Association, a former member of the Board of Trustees
of Claremont McKenna College and a former member of the Board of Governors of the Rose Institute of State and Local
Government. In addition, Cary served on the California Complete Count Committee - Census 2010, as chair of the
editorial board of Los Angeles Lawyer Magazine, the Los Angeles County Bar Association monthly magazine and as
chair of Second Friday Group, an organization comprised of Southern California federal political action committee managers.
Cary received a B.A., from Claremont McKenna College (summa cum laude, 1975) and a J.D. from University of Chicago Law School (1978).
