Dana Reed has practiced political and election law since 1975. He has been involved in California state politics and government all
of his adult life serving in senior government positions including Chairman of the California Transportation Commission,
Undersecretary of Business, Transportation and Housing and Deputy State Controller. Previously, he served as a member
of the Orange County Transportation Authority and chairman of its predecessor agency, the Orange County Transportation
Commission. Dana was a member of the Secretary of State's Electronic Filing Task Force. He is frequently quoted in
local and national media.
Dana is a long-time member of the American Association of Political Consultants and currently serves as President
of the organization's Western Chapter covering the states of California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Washington,
Alaska, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, Idaho and Hawaii.
In addition, Dana is a member the Orange County Public Affairs Officers Association, the Lincoln Club of
Orange County, The Coachella Valley Lincoln Club and one of the few male members the California Women's Leadership Association, an organization
he helped to incorporate in 1994.
While Reed & Davidson, LLP does not represent any political party, Dana, personally, is a member of
the governing board of the California Republican Party.
